If this message is reaching anyone out there, I urge you to make your way down to LRGC on 11.29.08. There are a small group of us fighting the infected. We're low on ammo, running out of food, and seriously outnumbered.

We know how to stop the infection.... We have the cure.

The regular rifle match at the end of the month we all enjoy is going to have to wait, because there is some rather urgent business we have to tend to.
It's at LRGC where those of us who choose to take on the infected will make our stand. It doesn't matter if you're running a precision rig, or a carbine, we need all the help we can get, and we'll need to use the few of us who are still here to the best effect we can. We don't know how it happened, but we are going to have to fix it.

Scores? Yeah, right.

You bring the infected down as they come. Make those shots count. If you get into a jam, you better depend on the guys next to you to pull you out of the fire.

Scoring is simple this time. You either make it through, or your new nickname is "FOOD."

The recipe for survival is DEAD SIMPLE.
  1. Rescue a loved one. You'll fight your way through the infected alone to make it across the apartment courtyard to get to your loved one. This will take a lot of serious close-in rifle work to accomplish, but a pistol is also going to be necessary. If you accomplish this, you'll meet up with others and begin to work together as a team, because there are significant challenges ahead that you just can't do on your own. Shooters running a precision rig will have to get this done with pistol only.

  2. The Chow Run. Man does not live by zombie shootin' alone. Food & Water are critical, but between you and the food are the infected. Don't forget... once they see you, they'll be on a little "chow run" of their own. Can you get the truck loaded and keep the infected away at the same time? I guess we'll find out...

  3. The Hoarde. This will be your first encounter with a large group of the infected. Some shooters are going to get in over their heads. When that happens, it's going to be up to the precision shooters to impart some 175 grain suggestions into the minds of the infected. This won't be easy.

  4. Egress. Fighting the Hoarde openly has drawn too many of the infected to you, and it's time to move the team to a better position. Precision shooters are going to back you up as you deliver accurate fire to pave the way. Engage the infected with rifle. from 100Y away, making sure they don't get any closer than that.

  5. Cleanup. Everybody wants to go to the party, but who wants to stay and help clean up? If you've survived this far thanks to your team doing its part, you'll have to take down the infected that remain. Some are difficult shots, but this is something that's just got to get done if you want to see the sun rise again.

  • Pistol: 10
  • Precision: 60
  • Precision Pistol: 20 (2 mags minimum)
  • Eye/Hearing protection

How to bring them down

Rifle shooters Will be engaging them inside 100Y, but it's more critical than usual to score the kind of hits that put the infected down quickly. It's not the typical match target we usually use, so pay attention once you get on site, and you'll learn how to cut one of these monsters down like an annoying shrub.

Reporting Instructions

Those who are joining us to fight the infection need to be on deck NLT 0900 on 11.29.08. For the time being, we have been able to keep the parking lot free of the infected. Do not stray onto unprotected areas of the grounds. Leave your gear in vehicle and report directly to the clubhouse for:
  • a briefing on the extent of the infection
  • what we have been doing to combat it
  • what is required of you
  • the operational safety protocols we must enforce to make sure everyone makes it out as healthy as they came in.

The club is located at 215 Stoney Ford Rd., in Northampton Township.
It comes up on maps.google.com as "215 Stoney Ford Rd., Bucks, PA."

MAPQUEST

Chow Time

The demanding course of fire includes a chow run, and if you're successful, it's only fair that you feast with those of us who survive back at the clubhouse.
